LAHORE: A 20-year-old man identified as Arshad, was burnt alive for allegedl
y stealing a cellphone in the vicinity of Nawab Town in Lahore on Saturday.
According to the local police, Jahangir and his brother Mannan, the accused in the case, alleged that Arshad snatch
ed their mobile following which a fight erupted betwe
en them. The locals intervened in the brawl and brought an end to it.
Later, Jahangir and Mannan set the man on fire and escap
ed the scene. Arshad was rushed to Jinnah Hospital for medical treatment.
The doctors said that Arshad suffered burns on his arms and face. Jahangir was taken into custody by the police
while Mannan could not be arrested.
